Lunchtime Poll

A quick poll for any of you toddler-having folk out there who wish to answer.

What do you feed the little boogers for lunch? I'm not very creative and generally serve poor Madeline the same things over and over.
  • Peanut butter sandwich with fruit
  • Peanut butter and banana sandwich
  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwich with fruit
  • Cheese sandwich with peas
  • Grilled cheese sandwich with peas
  • Homemade frozen pizza
  • Frozen chicken nuggets with dipping sauce and peas
  • Cheese quesadilla with corn and salsa
That's pretty much it. She's mostly vegetarian, more like fruitatarian, except for those chicken nuggets. And I've gotten in a rut where I serve her what I know she'll eat, but I'm really looking for some new ideas. Unless maybe this is what most toddler menus look like?

Try this website:
www.wholesometoddlerfood.com
I have referenced their wholesomebabyfood website for M's baby food. Also, what about:
-pasta or macaroni salad with veggies
-egg salad sandwich
-pita stuffed w/ veggies
-bean and cheese burrito
-does M like hummus?
-I know you said you make homemade pizza sometimes. Do you remember when we were little, my Mom would make mini pizza's. Top refridgerated biscuit dough with tomato sauce and cheese..yummy!
That website will give you a ton of ideas.
Fruitarian, huh? So cute!

Like you I go with the tried and true. We waste SO much food around here due to my picky son. We eat a lot of soy products. Soy hot dogs with mac n cheese, soy chicken nuggets, and soy corn dogs. Some days I'll do breakfast food for lunch. I mix a lot of veggies with mac n cheese since Heaten won't eat them. The babies also like potato salad or pasta salad. My thought is if they're eating it, life is good. I'm not messing with a good thing. =)
