I am sure you would much rather be posting about San Diego!

As the CEO of SportKAT, LLC, a world leader in manufacturing technologically advanced equipment for improving balance, I would like to share with you something that might help your vertigo; it is called Vestibular Rehabilitation and uses a product called the SportKAT or the Korebalance.

You will be delighted to know that our family of products is helping return balance function and reduce verigo to patients all over the world. The technique is simple and the results are incredible.

Our patented system uses an unstable platform and a computer to provide exercise to the Neurosensory System, requiring all three of the peripheral systems (Visual, Vestibular and Proprioceptive) to work together to perform a function. The functional results span from no longer needing a walker to grounded jet pilots recovering from vertigo and back in the cockpit within 2 weeks!

For over 17 years, SportKAT, LLC (Vista, CA) has been manufacturing these systems which simultaneously engage and train all three peripheral systems. Training with the SportKAT or the new Korebalance System helps improve neuroplasticity, which is the bodies’ ability to find new neurological pathways. This results in improvement with coordinated activities, such as walking; and will help reduce patient falls.

Innumerable patients suffering from various disorders have reported functional improvement from using this system. The disorders include the following: Ataxia, Meniere’s Disease, Peripheral Neuropathy, Presbystasis, Closed Head Injuries, and Traumatic Brain injuries, just to name a few.

The subconscious function of the cerebellum and the skeletal muscles is essential to smooth coordinated movement. SportKAT systems help train this mechanism in order to achieve this movement. In addition, you can count on our systems to generate a “fun factor” creating interest and making patient compliance no longer an obstacle.

To learn more about SportKAT and Korebalance, please visit our website at www.sportkat.com or call us toll-free at 1-800-743-0575. There are many alternative forms for helping relieve some of the symptoms and reduce the sensation of spinning.Satiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03227625739706115993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6085192061578412556.post-70414891290643872432008-05-22T13:07:00.000-07:002008-05-22T13:07:00.000-07:00I have vertigo and medicine didn't help me either....I have vertigo and medicine didn't help me either. I have had to learn to listen to my feet, if that makes sense (which it probably does to anyone who has had vertigo for any length of time). If my head and eyes say that the room or world is tilting and I start adjusting for that tilt, my feet tell me "Uh oh. This isn't right."

Yoga and qi gong have helped me a great deal in this regard. Hatha yoga is especially helpful because holding the pose gives me the chance to really feel centered. Qi gong, because it is slower than tai chi, also helped tremendously. The gradual movements, shifting the weight from one foot to another, slow twists also reinforced my learning to listen to my feet. I hope you recover quickly. Living with vertigo can be miserable.Satiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03227625739706115993noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6085192061578412556.post-50947173494628222992008-05-22T09:57:00.000-07:002008-05-22T09:57:00.000-07:00ugh! i know exactly how you feel...i had a bad ca...ugh! i know exactly how you feel...i had a bad case of vertigo that started about 2 weeks before my wedding and i still had it slightly on my wedding day....was the weirdest/most miserable thing ever...but it will go away...i promise...so, did you still go to san diego...?millisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10027042628864971458noreply@blogger.com
